5 places your next pitch idea is hiding

Think you don’t have anything press-worthy to say? Think again.

Your next great pitch idea probably isn’t some big, dramatic announcement. It’s something you’ve already said-probably more than once.

Here are five places to look when you’re stuck on what to pitch:

1. Your client inbox

What do people keep asking you? If it’s coming up again and again, it’s clearly something people care about-and that makes it great press material.

2. Your social DMs or comments

What questions do people slide into your inbox with? What posts spark the most replies? That’s a clue you’ve hit on something valuable.

3. Industry myths or frustrations

What makes you roll your eyes every time it’s mentioned? Journalists love a fresh take or myth-busting story that challenges assumptions.

4. Your recent results or wins

What have you helped someone achieve? Real-world examples and insights tied to wider trends are PR gold.

5. Your everyday advice

What’s one thing you say so often you could recite it in your sleep? That’s a sign it’s useful, clear and ready to be packaged as a headline.

The press doesn’t need flashy. It needs to be useful, relevant and real. You already have what you need-it’s just about learning how to shape it.

Start with what’s already in front of you. Your day-to-day conversations are full of PR potential.
